Before I start, let me define some terms. When i say "long skirt", I mean girls who wear their skirts at the mid-point of the knee, or beyond that. When I mean that a skirt is 'average' or 'in acceptable range, it is between the top of the kneecap to a maximum of 3 fingers above it. A 'short' (or 'excessively short' skirt is when the skirt appears to be more than or equal to 10 fingers worth of length above the top of the kneecap.
Firstly, let's find out the source of the trend of wearing such short skirts. From this website, they say "In the 1990s, the combination of miniskirts and ‘‘loose socks’‘—baggy socks worn like leg warmers—became hugely popular among high school girls. Although the fad for loose socks has passed, short uniform skirts are still popular among high school girls."
Question now is.... Why?
I've tried to ask my junior today (who skirt I estimate could be up to 12 fingers from her kneecap) "_______, why do you like to wear short skirts?"
Stressed by my question, she just shrugged and smiled.
Assuring her, I quickly changed my tone and said "No, I'm not scolding you. I'm just curious to find out why everyone is doing it."
Her reply? "No particular reason."
LOOK
These girls don't even understand why they like to wear such ULTRA short skirts. They can't even come up with a good enough reason to justify for their actions of wearing such short skirts.
Wearing short skirts (referring to uniform) can be one of the most unglam thing on earth.

A friend of mine, whom I have recently commented about her short skirt, says that "But you go out that time also wear very short what....."
There she is, the answer to her question within her own statement.
Say can be say "but you go out" and making a cross-comparison to her school skirt.
This article, features a debate of two schoolgirls on the matter of wearing short skirts to school. Of course, I'm taking the stand which Camille fought for. And yes, Let me draw attention to her first two lines in her arguement "I think standards are important. Some girls take this skirt business too far they roll them up to their elbows and basically they just look like sluts." What's the purpose of going to school if you just want to roll up your skirts and act like dirty little whores? You're just giving the boys a free show and you're NOT paid for it. If you want to do this, just be a prostitute. At least you're paid for it.
Quoting from the same article, a response written was "Speaking as a guy, it does matter, thankyou very much to all the girls who say things like the boys don't mind.. Great, you girls wanna get A's and A*s, well so do the boys, but honestly we get distracted when we see too much, and girls do not seem to realise. Please help us out, ladies!" You see! These short skirts DISTRACT those boys with raging hormones. ANd I know.... you're main motive is to attract their attention right? If not wear so short for what?
Nonetheless, I will not say that the PRCs have the best kind of skirt length, because I personally feel that they're slightly too long and makes their body out of proportion. The body will seem so long and the whole of the lower body would be covered by their long skirt. Well, it's their personal choice, I don't have much objections.

Sidetrack:
I used to wear those really short skirt back in year 1 (and possibly year 2). One reason was that because our school uniform is a pinafore, so the length of the dress is quite limited and won't change that easily. and in primary school my uniform was a pinafore too. I'm quite deprived of skirts, so when I do get a chance to wear it, I simply wear it like a slut.
Another reason was that I wanted to challenge the rules of the school. I want to see how much I can bend the rules before getting into trouble.
Thirdly, I was just feeling sluttish and wanted to attract some guy's attention.
But now I've outgrown that period. Seriously, short skirts are really ugly, you have to agree with me.

I'll read through your reasons why you love your short skirts. If you are able to convince me that your short skirts is really good, fine, I'll publicly apologize to the other short skirt wearers. Meanwhile, what I said is true and you better believe it.
